From Rumic World, the über-fansite dedicated to Queen of Manga-ka Rumiko Takahashi, comes news that Takahashi-sensei’s new series will debut in Shonen Sunday late next month, less than a year after she brought Inuyasha to its conclusion. No word yet on the title, or a description of the premise and characters.

I’m sure the news comes as a bit of a relief to the gentlemen who run Rumic World. They do wonderful work, and there is not a richer or more useful anime/manga fansite anywhere in cyberspace, but they’ve seemed somewhat at sea since Inuyasha ended. Now they and the rest of us who are Takahashi fans know what we’ll be doing for the next eight years.

My favorite bit of color art for Ranma 1/2, Rumiko Takahashi’s big series that immediately preceded Inuyasha. It shows some of the Ranma cast as characters from the Chinese story of the Monkey King. Downloaded from Rumic World.
